Zach Galifianakis teams up with director Todd Phillips for the second time in the upcoming "Due Date," co-starring Robert Downey Jr. The first time the two worked together was in "The Hangover," and Phillips tells Details that during that film, the idea of actually tasing Galifianakis in the police station scene came up. "We had a stunt guy do it, and then we showed Zach the tape. He almost vomited," Phillips told the magazine.
Phillips also addressed the pressure involved in pulling off a successful sequel to "The Hangover."
"I'm not delusional. I'm aware that other comedy sequels have disappointed," he told Details. "So the first step was to call it 'The Hangover: Part II.' Like 'The Godfather: Part II.' That might be the only way a sequel holds up. When I typed the cover page, I was like, 'There! Got that covered.'"
